“My heart was deeply moved by what happened to Jojo and Ester and their kids. I learned to be more available to people who are hurtingcry with them, listen to them, and pray for them.”
A digital story by Diane Manubay about her friendship with a mother who lost two children when Typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy) hit Manila in September 2009. Workshop conducted by Digital Storytelling Asia. 16-18 October 2009, Manila, Philippines.

This was part of Pastor Ernie’s message at the church this afternoon. I am a mother too, and it broke my heart seeing a mother like Ester bury her children. Like the narrator, I too wept with Ester. I pray that the Lord will comfort Ester and her family, and that they may see God’s greatness in the midst of all her trials. To Nathan: you are now in a place much, much better than Jollibee. Thank you so much Ate Diane and Kuya Willy for this heartwarming story. May God bless you.
